Enhanced Capital makes direct equity investments in small to mid-sized companies. We consider companies along multiple points of the development spectrum, from seed capital for start-ups to expansion capital for companies with up to $100 million of revenue. ECP seeks to become a financial partner with management, and often will bring co-investors and lending partners to increase the total amount of capital required to complete an investment. Companies seeking private equity typically fit into the following two categories:

Expansion Equity

Expansion equity investments are typically in the $2 million to $20 million range and are focused on mid-to-later-stage companies. Companies seeking expansion capital are typically well-established businesses with proven business models with a need for additional capital to finance expansion.

Venture Equity

Venture equity investments are typically in the $500,000 to $3.5 million range and are focused on earlier stage investments. These investments are for companies that are smaller in size and often have yet to reach profitability, but have a differentiated product or service and need growth capital to make key hires and build their infrastructure.

For all of our private equity investments, Enhanced Capital looks for the following attributes in prospective companies:

• An experienced management team
• Key reference customers
• Tangible path to profitability (if not already there)
• A differentiated and proven product or service offering
• Good visibility into its direct sales or channel sales pipeline
